Baseball: Tigers struggle to find groove against Zumbrota-Mazeppa
The Lake City Tigers varsity baseball team lost Saturday afternoon in their first road game of the season in Zumbrota Mazeppa by a final score of 10-0.
The first two innings were a pitchers duel between Lake City’s Colter Hegge and Zumbrota Mazeppa’s Kaleb Lochner. With a score of 0-0 entering the third inning, the Tiger’s bats fell silent and their defense struggled, allowing four runs in the 3rd and 6 runs in the 4th. Zumbrota Mazeppa did not need to hit in their half of the 5th inning, as the 10 run rule came into play.
