Members Present: Mark Nichols, Cindy McGrath, Amy Alkire, Faye Brown, Russell Boe, Brian Quinn, Megan Kramer
Members Absent: None

Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Nichols called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. with a quorum present.
Review and adopt/amend the agenda.
Nichols requested to add Lake Pepin river flooding update and US Waterski Hall of Fame recap
Motion McGrath, second Kramer to adopt the agenda as amended.  All ayes 7-0-0.
Public Forum
Moe Wazwas owner of the Lake City Smoke Shop addressed council requesting that the current moratorium on cannabis products be lifted.

Approve hire of Carson Matzke as 2023 O’Neil Pool Manager
Motion McGrath, second Boe to approve hire of Carson Matzke as 2023 O’Neil Pool manager effective May 22, 2023. All ayes 7-0-0. Motion carried.
Approve memorial donation of plaques and lighting for Samuelson statue
Motion Nichols, second Boe, to approve memorial donations of plaques subject to city staff approval prior to placement, for the Ralph Samuelson statue located in Ohuta Park; lighting is subject to city staff approval prior to placement if determined necessary. All ayes 7-0-0.  Motion carried.
Adopt Resolution 23-019 Proclaiming No Mow May in the City of Lake City
Motion Kramer, second Quinn to adopt Resolution 23-019 proclaiming No Mow May in the City of Lake City. All ayes 7-0-0.  Motion carried.
