A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 628
BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake City has adopted Ordinance No. 628, titled “An Ordinance Prohibiting the Sale of Edible Cannabinoid Products Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 15172;” and
WHEREAS, the City Charter allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance is three pages in length; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the following summary will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of Lake City City Council:
1. The City of Lake City City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 628, titled “An Ordinance Prohibiting the Sale of Edible Cannabinoid Products Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 151.72.” The Ordinance prohibits the retail sale of edible cannabinoid products under Minnesota Statutes Section 151.72 until the products are regulated via the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management licensure. The Ordinance is effective upon publication.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish this summary in lieu of publication of the entire ordinance.
3. The City Clerk is directed to post a copy of the entire text of Ordinance No. 628 at City Hall, the City of Lake City Public Library, and on the City of Lake City web site for a period of not less than 10 days. In addition, a printed copy of Ordinance No. 6218 is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the Lake City City Hall.
