Family stories and old jail highlight open hours event

What started out as a conversation about the past and future of the old jailhouse got more personal when Judy Platte showed up with donations from her family archives. In addition to a men’s tuxedo, a bowler hat and several generations of family photos in Lake City, Judy shared items from her great-grandmother’s wardrobe including pointy toed shoes, a silk coat and hand embroidered lace pantaloons. Judy had a lot to add about Lake City history as well and contributed to our lively conversation about bygone days and places in Lake City.
