SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on Jan. 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 59 community members were present.

Approved consent agenda (mcu).
Chairman Oeltjen gave a statement regarding teacher negotiations.
Kjellgren Alkire made a public comment.
Feb. 26, 2024 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Principal Berge gave the High School report.
Principal Aeschilmann gave the Bluff View report.
Amy Heise presented on Instructional Coaching.
Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm. Ed. report.
Michelle Seydel presented a Tiger Time and Cub Care Proposal.
Approved the Tiger Time and Cub Care rate increase/transportation fee as recommended (mcu).
Approve the Headstart lease agreement (mcu).
Approved the listed donations (mcu).
Approve policy 806 - Crisis Management (mcu).
Approve the resolution directing administration to make recommendations for reductions in programs and positions for 2024-2025 if needed (mcu).
Approve the adoption of school district general records retention schedule (mcu).
Approve the updated Fine Arts Assignments (mcu).
Approve the listed leaves of absence (mcu).
Approve the listed resignations and new hires (mcu).
Supt. Wright gave a financial presentation.
Board reports were shared.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 p.m. (mcu).
