Notice of Application for Livestock Feedlot Permit - Klein - May 6 Meeting

NOTICE OF APPLICATION
FOR A LIVESTOCK
FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Klein’s Cow Palace LLC and Eric and Chassidy Klein, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot. The existing feedlot is located in Sect-25 Twp-111 Range-013 of Wabasha County (32250 690th Street, Lake City, MN). The existing feed lot consists of dairy and beef livestock totaling 429 animal units housed in total and partial confinement buildings, and open lots.  Manure is stored in a concrete pit and stacking slabs.
The proposed expansion consists of constructing an additional total confinement barn. The final capacity will be 478.4 animal units. There will be a public meeting held at the property on May 6, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
