Heavy rains impact county roads

Heavy rains on July 31 impacted roads in Wabasha County, according to the County Engineer Dietrich Flesch.

“Water and debris/mud/rocks went over roads last night in locations along County Road 11 east of Millville, County Road 69, County Road 13, County Road 4, and others,” Flesch wrote in an email on Aug. 1. “Aggregate roads had washouts of aggregate occured, leaving ruts in roads. County Highway workers attempted to clear or barricade areas last night, working into the early morning. Repairs are continuing this morning and ongoing.”
