SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on August 19, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 6 board members and 9 community members were present.

3. Opportunity given for public testimony regarding operating levy renewal, no public testimony presented.
4. 7th & 9th grade orientation - August 21, 2024.
5. All Staff Workshop Days - August 26-28, 2024.
6. Meet the Teacher - Bluff View Elementary - September 3 & 4, 2024.
7. First Day of School - Grades 7-12: September 3, 2024, Grades K-6: September 5, 2024.
8. School Board Meeting - Monday September 16, 2024
9. Special Meeting to canvas election results recommended for November 14, 2024 at 7 a.m. District Board Room.
10. Organization meeting recommended date of January 6, 2025.
11. Principal Berge gave the High School report.
12. Approved High School Student Handbook for 2024-2025 (mcu).
13. Principal Aeschilmann gave the Bluff View Elementary report.
14. Approved Bluff View Student Handbook for 2024-2025 (mcu).
15. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
16. Activities Director Trevor Narum gave presentation on Scoreboard project proposal.
17. Approved renewal of Operating Levy (mcu).
18. Approved Superintendent Performance Goals 2024-2025 (mcu).
19. Reviewed Policy 809 - Naming Rights.
20. First reading policy 1534 - Student Contests and Conventions Regarding FFA, BPA & First Robotics.
21. Approved following policies: 104, 207, 413, 418, 419, 425, 513, 521, 532, 601, 603, 604, 609, 613, 614, 615, 616, 619, 620, 707, 708, 709, & 802 (mcu).
22. Approved annual policies: 410, 413, 414, 415, 514, 616, 722 & 806 (mcu).
23. Approved group dental insurance renewal with Health Partners (mcu).
24. Approved Lake City School District 813 Restrict Procedures Plan (mcu).
25. Approved the 2024-2025 Work Agreement for Lincoln High School Media Center Assistant (mcu).
26. Approved the School Resource Officer Contract (mcu).
27. Approved the listed donations (mcu).
28. Approved the fall coaching changes (mcu).
29. Approved August 2024 Lane Changes (mcu).
30. Approved the stipend for Kirk Thornton for creation/maintenance of online school training throughout the 24-25 school year (mcu).
31. Approved the 2024/25 Extended Contracts (mcu).
32. Approved the resignations (mcu).
33. Approved the new hires (mcu).
34. Supt. Wright gave her report.
35. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
36. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:22 p.m. (mcu).
