880 ride in Tour de Pepin
Participation in this year’s Tour de Pepin bicycle ride around Lake Pepin on June 7 totaled more than 880, including many who registered the day of the event, according to Heather Thomas, executive director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
“It was exciting to see that over 80 people registered on the same day,” she said. “The cool and sunny weather in the morning was definitely a bonus, and we were lucky to only experience a few sprinkles as the day progressed.
