Save history, save the jail
I attended the Council meeting last Monday and it looks like the condo project across from Fresh Market is going to go through. I’m disappointed because I don’t think that’s the best use of that property, but my big worry is the jailhouse.
Nobody seems to care whether we save it or not. I just hate the thought of losing more of our history. I suggested putting it next to city hall across from Patton Park to be used when there are activities in the park. It would be a benefit to our city.
