NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
PLANNING COMMISSION
The Wabasha County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing starting at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th, 2025 for the purpose of hearing any testimony regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the application submitted by Roger Dykes requesting a conditional use permit to place fill in a general floodplain as part of a bridge construction. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R16.00122.00 and is located in Section 20, Township 110 North, Range 12 West, in West Albany Township.
2) Public hearing on the preliminary plat application submitted by Frank Schuchard requesting to plat Oak Ridge Second Addition. The subject properties are described as Wabasha County Parcel R07.00109.00 and is located in Section 14, Township 109 North, Range 13 West of Hyde Park Township.
3) Public hearing on the application submitted by Amanda Caturia requesting a conditional use permit to operate a short term lodging establishment in the rural residential district. The subject property is Wabasha County Parcel R05. 00686.00 and is located in Section 3, Township 110 North, Range 10 West, in Greenfield Township (67390 166th Ave. Wabasha, MN).
4) Public hearing on the application submitted by Nathan Hoffman of West Newton Colony to elevate a structure on pilings in the West Newton Special Use District. The subject property is identified as Wabasha County parcel R10.00039.00 and is located in Section 9, Township 109 North, Range 9 West, in Minneiska Township (11676 622nd Street Kellogg, MN).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota. Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
