Edmond Morehouse obituary

Edmond “Ed” Phillip Morehouse, 94, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lake City, Minn., to George and Helen Morehouse, Ed grew up along the Mississippi River in Frontenac on a fox farm with his family. A proud veteran, he served with the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War, where his mechanical skill and inventive spirit shone.
In 1956, Ed married Phyllis Ruth Hattemer, the love of his life. In 1966, the family relocated to Colorado, settling in Mead, where many cherished memories were made. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and adventure — raising three children while Ed enjoyed a long career with IBM.
After retiring in 1983, Ed and Phyllis traveled across the United States, splitting their time between Loveland, Colo. and Mesa, Ariz.. Ed was an avid outdoorsman, athlete, and baker, known for his quick wit and steady strength.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughters, Allison Walsh and Stephanie Myers; son, Brian Morehouse; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
