State park candlelight event rescheduled

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will host candlelight events across the state this winter, including at Frontenac State Park on Saturday, Feb. 28. This is a new date.

Drop by from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to hike, ski or snowshoe under the near-full moon while stars twinkle overhead and candles flicker in the snow.

The 1.5-mile trail starts at the main overlook and is suitable for skiers, snowshoers or hikers of all ages. Visitors can also warm up with a cup of hot cocoa near a crackling bonfire at the picnic shelter.
