The Woman’s Club of Lake City launched their 2026 year with a presentation by Peg Mattke and Heather Banks of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation (GLCCF). Both organizations work to enhance life in Lake City. The Woman’s Club mission focuses on “promoting the welfare of the home and the community and to stimulate interest along educational, civic and cultural lines.” The five pillars of the GLCCF are Arts, Education, Environment, Community Development and Economic Development. Peg and Heather did a great job of highlighting points of similarity between our organizations as they described how the GLCCF works to “strengthen our community through giving.”
