Wabasha County Board of Adjustment - August 12 Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Daren Wingert requesting a variance from Minnesota Stats. 394.36 subd. 4 to expand a non-conforming structure and Chapter 11.02 (2) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to place a structure within 30’ of a Bluff Impact Zone (BIZ). The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R14.00147.06 and is located in Section 23, Township 108 North, Range 11 West of Plainview Township (52815 220th Ave., Plainview, MN 55964).
2) Public hearing on the application submitted by Paul Doerr requesting a variance from Chapter 13.07 (2)(c) to install a septic system within the required 100’ setback of a Recreational Development Lake. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R17.00302.06 and is located in Section 35, Township 109, Range 14 West of Zumbro Township (56416 395th Ave., Zumbro Falls).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota.  Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
