Wabasha County Planning - August 24 Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
PLANNING COMMISSION
The Wabasha County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing starting at 7:00 p.m. on August 24th, 2026 for the purpose of hearing any testimony regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the application submitted by Andrew Peters of Milestone Materials requesting a Conditional Use Permit to conduct construction aggregate mining operations involving the extraction and processing of limestone aggregates and specifically would include the blasting, crushing, stockpiling, and sales of aggregates. The subject property is identified as Wabasha County parcel R06.00259.03 and is located in Section 29, Township 109 North, Range 11 West, in Highland Township.
2) Public hearing on the application submitted by John and Kim Poe requesting to Rezone their parcel from the Agricultural-Use/Low-Density Residential (A-3) District to the Rural Low-Density Residential (R-1) District. The subject property is identified as Wabasha County parcel R17.00468.00 and is located in Section 34 and 35, Township 109 North, Range 14 West, in Zumbro Township.
The public hearing will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota.  Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
