Evan Huettl joins the other family business
Thanks to Huettl’s Meats, the surname Huettl has been associated with meat processing and sales in Lake City for over a century and multiple generations.
But the family has also been on another multi-generational run in another local industry: education.
Cheryl Huettl joined the faculty at Bluff View Elementary School in 1971 and taught here for 30 years, retiring in the spring of 2001. That fall, her daughter-in-law, Dena Huettl, took a position at Bluff View and has taught there ever since.
