Letter: Voters should express their dissatisfaction
To the editor:
On a recent trip through Cannon Falls I decided to wander a bit and count empty and for rent businesses. Cannon Falls and Lake City both have about 5,000 residents.
Cannon Falls had four vacant store fronts, Lake City 11. The brew pub in Cannon Falls that has yet to open was not counted but then neither was the brew pub at Nosh that has been in the works for years. I only counted storefronts in the downtown area. I did not count Skyline, Bushel and Peck or any of the many empty gravel parking lots.
