Tigers split duals at Triton triangular
A fast start by Byron spelled trouble for the Lake City wrestling team last Thursday as they fell 60-15 to a strong Bears squad in the first dual of a triangular at Triton. The Tigers came back in their next dual with a good start of their own against Triton which enabled them to defeat the Cobras 54-19.
Against Byron Lake City found themselves looking at a 27-0 deficit as the Bears reeled off three pins, a tech fall and a major before Lake City’s Matt Wooding pinned his man at 138 pounds to stem the tide at least temporarily.
