Tigers fall in showdown with Wildcats

Friday night’s Hiawatha Valley League showdown between the top two teams in each division reached a dramatic conclusion as Ben Opsahl’s layup with 20.1 seconds remaining proved to be the difference as Goodhue knocked off Lake City 60-56. The Wildcats saw a 14-point second half lead evaporate only to escape with victory after Marc Kjos was whistled for an offensive foul with 4.3 seconds remaining.
