Library to host friend of Jackie Robinson on April 1
Ronnie Rabinovitz will share his friendship with Jackie Robinson during his presentation “My Friendship with Baseball Hall of Famer, Jackie Robinson: Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m. at the Lake City Public Library.
At the age of 7, Ron became a Jackie Robinson fan and soon after got to meet him.
Ron and Jackie formed a friendship that began as pen pals and grew to phone calls and get-togethers that lasted until Robinson’s death in 1971.
The library is located at 201 South High Street.
