Boys tennis tops Ellsworth in busy week
The Lake City Tigers boys tennis team finished off April with a flurry of matches. And their schedule shows no signs of letting up as they battle the elements to stay on the courts.
On April 20 they trekked to Rochester to take on their Hiawatha Valley League foe Rochester Lourdes and were sent packing 7-0.
Ben Ackermann made the most of his match at No. 4 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 loss.
In other singles action Alex Holmgren was shut out 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1; Jacob Miller was on the losing end of a 6-1, 6-0 match at No. 2; and Ian Halpaus was denied 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.
