Three Korean War vets experience their memorial first-hand

On Saturday, May 6, three Lake City residents, all Korean War veterans, traveled on a Freedom Honor Flight from La Crosse, Wis., to Washington D.C. to be honored for their military service and especially to see the Korean War Memorial.

LaVern Witt was accompanied by his daughter, Lisa Rowenhorst, as guardian. Mert Kohrs was accompanied by his daughter, Vicky Stussy, as guardian. Lorne MacDonald was accompanied by his good friend, Steve Swan.
