Tiger girls golf team earns trip to state meet
The Lake City girls golf team fired rounds of 319-320 for a 639 two-day total to win the Section 1AA title by 121 strokes ahead of Stewartville 375-385 (760), Lourdes 370-409 (779) and Byron 386-414 (800).
The Lake City girls golf team opened up tournament play with a comfortable 51 stroke lead after day one of the Section 1AA meet at Eastwood Golf Course on May 31. The Tigers fired a 319 followed by Lourdes 370, Stewartville 375, Byron 386, La Crescent 388, Kasson-Mantorville 400, Cannon Falls 422, St. Charles 433, and Plainview-Elgin-Millville 448.
