Letter: Mission accomplished, Freedom Honor Flight fundraiser marches on

To the editor:

Thank you to the citizens of Lake City for your overwhelming support of our “Raise the Flag” drive to benefit the Freedom Honor Flight.

Not only did we exceed our goal, but we also ran out of flag pins. What a great problem to have.

So far, we have collected over $1500 to help send our veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the monuments that were built in their honor.

Each flight costs $100,000 and the donations pay the Veterans’ way.
