A proposed expansion at Bluff View Elementary School that would allow the district to expand its pre-kindergarten and childcare programs will go to voters this fall.
On July 17, the Lake City School Board voted unanimously to hold a special election asking voters to authorize bonding to pay costs not to exceed $12 million for the project.
The expansion would add 32,000 square feet to the school in the form of classrooms, a new cafeteria and a new gymnasium. The additional space would allow the former kindergarten area to become a preschool.
