Glenn Frank Obituary

    The funeral service for Glenn Frank will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Fr. Joseph Pete officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake City.
    Glenn Norman Frank passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Care Center in Wabasha of natural causes at the age of 88 years.  He was born in Athens, Wis. on July 27, 1928 to Norman and Alice (Balsam) Frank.
    He attended school in Athens until eighth grade.  He then joined the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division from 1950-1952.  Glenn farmed near Chester, Minn. for five years and then moved to Lake City where he farmed into his mid-80’s.
    Glenn is survived by his wife, Rosemary, of 64 years; 10 children, Larry, Steven, and Donald Frank, all of Lake City, Deborah (Danny) Olson of Lake City, Alan (Teresa) Frank of Owatonna, Mary Frank of Rochester, John (Carolyn) Frank of Philadelphia, Pa., Sandy Rodriquez of Albuquerque, N.M., Richard Frank of Utica and Daniel (Jenny) Frank of Mendota Heights, Minn.; 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Carlton (Pat) Cecelia Frank; a sister, Betty (Calvin) Patterson; a sister-in-law, Patsy Frank; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one brother, Art.
    Friends and family may visit from noon Tuesday, Aug. 1 until the time of the service at the church.
