City to Corps: Help us help you

Lake City might have uses for a sizeable amount of the sand the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to dredge out of lower Lake Pepin over the next 40 years.

The Corps needs to dispose of about 10.7 million cubic yards of dredge spoils over the next four decades to maintain a nine-foot channel for commercial navigation.
