Letter: Faster traffic is the answer
To the editor:
On a busy traffic day you can begin to see the future of Highway 61. Notice the parades of traffic coming into Lake City from both north and south.
Our new two lane road configuration will add much longer parades of cars and trucks for much longer distances, Red Wing to Wabasha.
Right now our four lane is a release valve. Without that passing space more drivers will be taking greater chances to pass in unsafe areas. I saw it yesterday coming from Wabasha. Frustration becomes the driver.
