Letter: Honor veterans by getting involved
To the editor:
Our country acknowledges and supports our veterans on Veterans Day, November 11. It is our unity and pride of country that drives those who served forward. And the best way forward is to be active in a service organization, such as the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
My name is Kerry Allison. In 2004, I answered the calling to serve my country. I enlisted in the Army as a combat medic. I was later medically discharged and returned home to West Concord, Minnesota.
