Public library is home of HAHS Santa Paws tree
The seventh annual Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) “Santa Paws” Christmas tree is now on display in the front window of the Lake City Public Library.
This year, as in the past, there is a plentiful supply of homeless animals in temporary foster care, hoping for a visit from Santa.
The event started on Saturday, Nov. 25 and will continue through Dec. 23. Event Chair Karen Cooper and her husband Grant will then make sure each animal receives his or her gifts before Dec. 25.
