Thin ice near Frontenac

A perennial trouble spot on Lake Pepin is again marked with signs warning of thin ice after two reports of vehicle tires punching through the surface.

Sgt. Scott Powers of the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office placed 16 signs around Methodist Point in Old Frontenac Sunday with the help of Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officer Brittany Hauser.
