Survey measures interest and need for childcare and community center

Questionnaires from the Lake City Economic Development Authority (EDA) are on their way to mailboxes and inboxes in the Lake City area.

The EDA is trying to gauge public interest in and willingness to contribute financially toward a childcare center and community center.

It’s the latest in a series of steps the EDA has taken in an effort to address the childcare shortage in Lake City. The survey asks respondents to envision a childcare and community center operated by the YMCA.
