Band shell process has donor concerned
Mary Ellen Ritzenthaler has been staying in the home her late husband, Steve Ritzenthaler, designed on the lakeshore.
The home has a new owner now who has turned it into a vacation rental. Mary Ellen is renting it for two weeks and taking the opportunity to connect with some of the many people she met through Steve, a much-admired band director at Lincoln High School who died last year.
“The people that he’s brought into my life mean so much to me still,” she said.
