To the editor:
Kudos to Ed Bauman for teaching firearms safety classes for 50 years.
This is a wonderful program. I taught in it too, starting in 1963. I got to work with Wabasha County’s long-time game warden, Willis Kruger. What a great guy he was to know.
In those years, we averaged 60 kids per year, with four classes of 15 kids in each class.
In my last year, 1973, there was this really tall kid in my class, Randy Breuer. You don’t forget him either.
