Library makerspace geared toward older children, adolescents

A donation from the family of a fallen soldier has enabled the Lake City Public Library to develop a place tailored to students in grades four and up.

The Tony Hebert Memorial Makerspace is open to grades four and up Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each week the makerspace will feature a new hands-on activity, like marble runs, Keva Planks, Snap Circuits, dominos, straws and connectors, K’Nex, cardboard construction, Legos, and maker kits.
