5th grade Math Masters compete in Rochester
The fifth grade Math Masters teams ended their season on April 26 with a competition that was held in Rochester at Bethel Lutheran Church. This competition is the second biggest in the state of Minnesota.
Bluff View had 13 students representing. There were two teams of five and three alternates. In the competition, there are three areas to compete in. The first is a math facts round, including lots of order of operation problems. The next few rounds are an individual competition. In these two parts, there were 171 competitors.
