Memories of Apollo

The 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing brought back memories for Andru Peters.

In 1965, he was 25, fresh from the service, and looking for a job.

“Nobody would hire me because I was a veteran,” he said. “We were labeled ‘baby killers’ in 1965.”

But he had a security clearance, which helped him get a job at defense contractor Honeywell’s Stinson Ridgeway plant in Minneapolis.
