Girls tennis team opens season with 7-0 win
The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team opened their season against New Life Academy of Woodbury on Aug. 16 with a convincing 7-0 win.
In singles play, Ava Wallerich returned to the No. 1 spot and finished in two sets 6-4, 6-2.
Sarah Ziebarth stepped into the No. 2 spot and, following a tight first set win 7-6, she cruised to a 6-0 win in the second.
Renae Harvey moved into the No. 3 singles spot and came out with a strong first set win 6-3 and put a little more time in on the court to pull out her second set tiebreaker win 7-6 (3).
