Albert Morehouse Obitiuary
Albert “Al” Bernard Morehouse, 88, of Lake City, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center and Nursing Home in Wabasha. No services will be held per Al’s request. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery at a later date.
Albert was born in Lake City on May 21, 1928 to George and Helen (Roth) Morehouse. He attended school at St. Mary’s McCahill School through 10th grade, then worked and received his GED from Lincoln High School in Lake City. Albert entered into the U.S. Navy in 1947 and was honorably discharged in 1950.
On April 18, 1970 Albert married Vivian Prebe at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City. Albert worked at IBM in Rochester for 27.4 years. His hobbies included hunting for bear, duck, moose and squirrel. He loved to read and in his younger years he enjoyed fishing.
Albert is survived by his wife Vivian of Lake City; his stepgrandchildren; three stedaughters: Tana (Rick) Cox of Lake City, Linda (Ron) Sexton of Lake City, and Mary Jennings of Frontenac; one stepson, Earl (Linda) Roberts of Belvidere, IL; one brother, Edmund (Phyllis) Morehouse of Colorado; and close friend, Marvel Bedney of Lake City. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold; one sister, Augusta Schuster; and stepdaughter, Carol Ann Roberts.
