Clayton Brandt obituary

Clayton Henry Brandt, age 41, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester from injuries sustained in an accident.

He was born Feb. 23, 1979 in Zumbrota to Steven and Sharon (Issendorf) Brandt. He grew up in Lake City graduating from Lincoln High School in 1998 and then began working at Hearth and Home. In 2007 he married Katy Strohman.  He joined the Lake City Fire Department in 2012. In 2019 he received the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office “The Life Saving Citation.” Clayton enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Walleye Searchers group out of Rochester. From a young age he enjoyed following the Miami Dolphins and has continued to support the team.  More than anything Clayton enjoyed his family and it kept him busy attending their events including sports, dance, prom and the list goes on. With that he enjoyed the brotherhood the Lake City Fire Department brought to his life and considered them as his family.

He is also survived by his godson, Mason Eggenberger and his parents Mike and Stephanie, sister, Ava of Lake City.

A walk-through visitation will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City.
