Dr. Gerald Kari obituary

In Loving Memory of Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Kari.
With deep sadness, we share the passing of Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Kari, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and respected chiropractor, who departed this life on October 30, 2025 at the age of 84.
Jerry was born in Finlayson, Minnesota on October 11, 1941 to Walter and Agnes Kari. He graduated from Forest Lake High School then attended Hamline University followed by Logan University - College of Chiropractic. He graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1963 and continued to expand his practice by learning and eventually teaching acupuncture. He loved his chiropractic practice, treating patients for 62 years including recently in Lake City, Minnesota where he lived with his beloved wife, Donna Kari. He and Donna were married in 1991 and shared a strong love, magnificent family, and many beautiful years together in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
He is survived by a large, loving family, including his wife, Donna; his sister, Marlys; and children: Lisa (Steve), Leslie (Ronney), Matt (Sue), Mark (Tari), Paul, Monte, Dena, Megan (Mike), and Erin (Jason). He loved his family and his legacy lives on through his children as well as the forty-nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom they treasure and love. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Steve, and their son Cary Behm.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, Minnesota. A visitation with light refreshments will be held at 12:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m.
Jerry lived a life of purpose and strong faith with passion for his work and family, gratitude, and focus on service to others. He was a healer, teacher, mentor, and friend to many everywhere he went. He will be missed and forever remembered by his family and all the patients he cared for and loved.
