Ionne O'Connors

Ionne Geneva (Anderson) O’Connors died at the Rehabilitation Center in Allison, Iowa, on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the age of 99.  
    She was born in Hantho Township, rural Louisburg, Minn., on Sept. 10, 1916, to Gunder and Ina (Benson) Anderson.  She graduated from Appleton High School. She married Ralph J. O’Connors in 1942 in Appleton, Minn.  They had two children, Patricia Ann and James Edward.  She was a homemaker all her life. She was a world traveler with her husband and enjoyed bridge.
    She is survived by her son, James, of New Brighton, Minn.; three sisters, Frances Torstenson of Minneapolis, Barbara (Willard) Andreasen of Yucca Valley, Calif. and Margaret Gronholz of Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Anderson of Appleton and Lillian Anderson of Northfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, her parents, three brothers, Philip, Douglas and Charles, a sister, Evelyn, three brothers-in-law, Joel Torstenson, Roger Gronholz and Vernon Larson, a sister-in-law, Lois Anderson, her in-laws, Verl and Inez Rollings, two nephews and a niece.
    Memorial services will be held Friday, April 15, 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Tim Ehling officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City is handling the arrangements.  Memorial are preferred to First Lutheran Church Lake City.  Online condolences may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
