Nancy Brandt Obituary

Nancy Marie Brandt, 61, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at home in Kirkland, Wash. with her family by her side.
    She was born May 25, 1956 in Lake City to Jess and Marlys Dose. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974 and attended Martin Luther College/
    She is survived by her husband, Don Brandt; children, Logan Brandt, Tyla (Ben) Martens, Megan Brandt; one grandchild, Elijah Martens; and her mother, Marlys Dose of Lake City.
    She worked at Lincoln Elementary as a teachers aid with special needs children, moved to Kirkland, Wash. in 1991 and was a stay-at-home mom until returning to work in 1997. She worked as a preschool teacher at Calvary Lutheran in Bellevue, Wash. from 1997-2003. From 2003-2009 she worked for Sodexo cooking school lunches for the public school system. In 2010 she began working for Evergreen Speech and Hearing clinic as a courier transporting records between their three office locations and maintaining patient charts in archives. She stopped working in 2017 when her declining health prevented her from continuing.
    She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Wash. A memorial service will be held at the church on Friday afternoon.
