Nick LaVan Obituary

Nicholas LaVan, age 75, of Dresser, Wis. and formerly of Lake City passed away March 10, 2016, in Leesburg, Fla.

He was born on March 22, 1940 in Red Wing, Minnesota. He married Betty in 1961 and they had three sons. Some of his hobbies were snowmobiling, golfing and fishing. He was preceded in death by parents and one sister.

Nick is survived by wife, Betty of 54 years; children, Jeffery of Montgomery, Minn., John of Savage, Minn., and Bradley (Shelly) of Lake City; seven grandchildren, Dave, Joe and Elizabeth LaVan, Kayla (Josh) and Brittany (Adam) LaVan, Heather (Dillon) Weaver and Katelyn (Isaac) Manitz. He is also survived by three brothers and 1 sister.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola, Wis.  Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
