Robert Froyd obituary

Robert “Bob” John Froyd, 74, of Lake City, died Friday at the Lake City Care Center.  He was born on October 23, 1948, in Lake City to Kenneth and Margaret (Damman) Froyd. He graduated in 1966 from Lake City High School.  For 20 years he worked for Jostens in Red Wing and then worked at Treasure Island Resort and Casino until he retired in 2015. Bob had a gift of talking. He enjoyed visiting with people, especially his neighbors, sharing stories about Lake City. He was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed watching old TV shows and spending time with his cat Kiddo. For the past 12 years he has been friends with his neighbors, John and Marsha and their grandson, Michael “Buddy”. They would spend time together and celebrate holidays with Marsha’s great homemade meals. Bob was a generous person, donating to the Lake City Library, Lake City Youth Baseball Association, Lake City Food Shelf and the Goodhue County Humane Society.
Bob is survived by his sister, Kay, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.
