Rosabelle Wurst Obituary

    Rosabelle J. Wurst, 83, of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at home.
    She was born on March 2, 1934 to Arthur and Cerina (Rupprecht) Brostrom in Staples, Minn. Rosabelle graduated from Jackson High School in Nebraska in 1952. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school. Rosabelle married Willis Wurst in Lake City on June 25, 1961. She worked in beauty shops in Lake City and also did housecleaning and babysitting for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Lake City VFW Post 8729 Ladies Auxiliary.
    Rosabelle is survived by two sons, Wade (Tina) Wurst of Hartland, Maine and Bartley “Bart” Wurst of Rochester; one daughter, Lynn (Brock) Nibbe of Lake City; a grandson, Andrew Martin; seven stepgrandchildren, Ed, Keith, Christina, Michelle, Brett, Nina and Lisa; two brothers, Jerry (Lanay) Brostrom of Rogers,  Minn. and Dale (Jane) Brostrom of Brainerd, Minn.; and one sister, Norma (Carl) Findley of San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; a brother, Wayne Brostrom; sisters, Lola Briggs, Darlene Swenstad and Carol Tufte.
    A memorial service will be Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran in Lake City with Pastor Daniel Reich officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
