Tammy Prebe Obituary

Tammy R. Prebe, 50, of Lake City, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Lake City Hospital.
    She was born Sept. 14, 1965 to Donald and Janet Stock in San Bernardino, Calif. In 1974 the family moved to Oregon. Tammy graduated from Newberg High School in 1982.
    On June 17, 1983, Tammy married Larry Prebe, Sr. They lived in Newberg, Ore. until 1998 when they moved to Lake City.  She worked at Lake City Federal Bank and Bud Meyer Trucking.  She then went back to school and received her nursing degree.  She worked as a nurse in Lake City and later in Wabasha.  In 2011 she worked for Sullivan Transportation out of St. Paul. In 2013 Tammy and her husband started Prebe and Son Trucking in Lake City.  She enjoyed camping, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family.
    She is survived by her husband, Larry Prebe, Sr. of Lake City; daughter, Gennifer Rane Sweet, of Lake City; son, Homer Prebe of Lake City; grandson, Hunter Micheal Sweet of Lake City; parents, Donald and Janet Stock, of Granite City, Ill.; brother, Donnie (Paula) Stock of Greenwood, Ind.; sister, Janet Stock of Lake City; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
    A funeral service will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Pete officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel, in Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
