Jacob Schumacher - Lake City School Board Candidate
I recently stepped away from teaching to run my construction business full time, opening a new door for me to be able to serve my community and continue to support the education that I am very passionate about. I’m a strong believer and supporter of this community and the future of our students. I believe we have a good education system here in Lake City with great staff, students, and opportunities for them to learn and grow. But we have a tough road ahead as less and less are going into and staying in the teaching profession, politics are competing for valuable tax dollars, and student needs are more demanding than ever. I want to be a part of making this district even better by bringing my experience and leadership to the table.
