City of Lake City - Planning Commission - April 30, 2026 Hearing

NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
    Notice is hereby given that the City of Lake City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 205 West Center Street, Lake City, Minnesota. The Planning Commission will consider an amendment to the Municipal Code, Title XV Land Use, Chapter 151, Flood Plain Management. The Planning Commission will be taking public comments related to the Floodplain Management Ordinance City of Lake City, which affects all properties within the jurisdiction of Lake City shown on the Official Zoning Map and/or the attachments thereto as being located within the boundaries of the Floodway or Flood Fringe. The Planning Commission will specifically be considering the following action related to this hearing: 1) Repealing the existing Chapter 151, Flood Plain Management, and 2) recommending adoption of Chapter 151, Flood Plain Management Ordinance City of Lake City in its place.
    All persons desiring to speak on this item are encouraged to attend. A copy of the Flood Plain Management Ordinance City of Lake City will be available at City Hall and the Lake City Public Library.
